10 ways to get over a breakup

Just gave your ex the boot? Don't sit and wallow! These fun tips will help you forget Mr. Wrong in no time.
1. Keep busy
The last thing you want to do after a breakup is sit and think about what went wrong. You have time to do that later. Instead, get your mind off the breakup by keeping yourself busy. Closet needs to be reorganized? Do that! Have a book that you're half done? Pick it up and start reading! There's no better time to get the little things done and out of the way.
2. Sex and The City reruns and a tub of non-fat frozen yogurt.
Don't even think about diving into that full-fat, loaded-with-calories ice cream while sitting in front of the tube. Treat yourself with non-fat frozen yogurt and get the satisfaction of eating it all (minus all the fat) while watching Carrie fuss over Mr. Big.
3. Hit the gym
Get on that treadmill, ladies, and sweat out any frustrations you have over that breakup. Better yet, take a kickboxing class and see how great you feel after that. Any way you slice it, working out will release feel-good endorphins and you'll be so fit your ex will wish he'd never let you go!
4. Girls' night out
A great way to help say goodbye to that old relationship is to hang out with your bests girlfriends. Who better to help you get over Mr. Wrong? Hit up the town for a girls' night out -- let your hair down, dance, eat and forget about the sex for one night.
5. Play the field
So your last relationship ended -- who cares? That means you have the time and the freedom to play the field and see what other fish live in the sea. Have fun flirting and dating. You'll have some good dates and no doubt some bad ones, but you'll be getting out instead of staying at home. It will help you get over your ex in no time!
6. Spa day
Take a whole day and dedicate it to yourself -- you're worth it! Spending a day at the spa, getting pampered from head to toe, will melt away any thoughts you have of your ex. And if you ended a relationship where you felt you were neglecting yourself, what better way to treat yourself?
7. Shop!
Don't go to town and buy a Prada revenge purse that your credit card will be screaming about later -- but do go out and get some little pick-me-up items that will make you look and feel good about yourself. A sexy LBD that would make him jealous the next time you see him should do the trick.
8. Change up your iPod
First things first -- get rid of all those sappy love songs about relationships and breakups, or anything that reminds you of your ex. Who needs to listen to that? Fill your iPod with upbeat, happy songs that will keep you motivated. Might we suggest the Pussycat Dolls "I Don't Need a Man"?
9. Get a haircut!
So, you might not want to go crazy here and chop off half your locks, but some new colour and a fresh new 'do might be just what you need to feel fabulous.
10. Move on
If you're still having trouble getting over your ex, don't fret. It's normal. Try getting rid of anything in your life that reminds you of your ex, talk to friends and realize that you're just fine and totally fab whether or not you're in a relationship.
